The Cannons take the field twice this weekend, up against East Coast CC in both Division 1 and 2.
Division 2 play first and a strong lineup has been picked against the new ladder leaders. Tushar Sehgal is back to lead the bowling attack, and skipper Dhruv Mohta again has a deep bowling attack to call upon, including our spin trio of Hiren Patel, Kevin Tuvar and Nihar Shah. A win keeps the team in the hunt for first place, while a loss will confirm a 3rd place finish.
Division 1 then take the field looking to avenge the close loss against the same opposition last week (we did get them back in the 40 over league though). Sagar Mandhan is unavailable, so Zeeshan Ansari makes his captaincy debut. Jawad Naimat will make his Div 1 debut, a well earned promotion after some great performances with bat and ball in the lower divs. A win will go a long way to helping the team earn the vital 3rd place standing that gets the team into the smei-final.
