Captains for our 3 league teams were decided a while back and each has been busy preparing for the 2022 HCL season.
Div 3 will again be captained by Souvik Mitra. Souvik is an experienced captain who lifted the 2018 Div 2 trophy, and will have a much improved squad this year to work with in an effort to claim more silverware in 2022. A combination of new talent in addition to experienced players dropping down a level should be a winning mix.
Dhruv Mohta will continue as our Div 2 captain, having taken the team to the Final in 2021. Dhruv will play a key role with the bat in the top order and his calm nature and strong preparation will ensure a talented Div 2 team fires on all cylinders again as we seek to go one better than 2021.
Div 1 sees a change at the top, with 2020 winning skipper Matt Webb stepping aside and Sagar Mandhan taking on the role. After strong recruitment over the offseason, our Div 1 team is looking very solid with a lot of depth, and we're confident Sagar can lead the bounce back to the top after 2021 didn't go to plan.
